Now while this site is not "travel
radio", I can recommend it as a fine source of general
information from all over the world. This has to be of great benefit
to the traveller! Also, if you have a smattering of a particular
language, why not listen to a radio station from a relevant country
in order to improve your grip of the language? Having suggested this
as a legitimate reason for listening to a radio station via the
Internet, and for finding out local information, I do have the
general feeling that using the Internet instead of a radio
is not such a good idea since this places demands upon the Internet
that we could well do without ... at least in its present stage of
development!
Sunset Radio is a great radio station
portal. After the splash page you are offered flags from across the
world. (If you don't know your flags, hover over them for more
information!) Click a flag and you are then presented with an array
of radio stations to choose from. Take it from there! I was
impressed - although navigation, such as getting back to the
'flag-page' - seems to be a bit of a challenge. |
