Brief Biography

I have just retired from the Civil Service where I worked as a State Veterinarian in beautifull County Wexford in the Sunny South East of Ireland. In this context 'sunny' is a relative term.

I have been married to Judy for the past 36 years and we have three grown up children. Before settling here I worked for the Irish Development Aid Programme (popularly known as Eiraid) where I spent some time in Lesotho breeding horses. Our kids were young enough to ignore school then so we travelled quite a bit around Southern Africa and beyond, mostly in a rattling Hilux which would go anywhere a 4x4 would go.

I have always been keen on travel and writing and now I have the time I intend to do a lot more of each.
