Brief Biography

I have been writing on and off for about fifteen years in between raising a family, working part time and studying for a BA (Hons), then a Masters Degree with the Open University. Now that my two children are young independent adults, I'm enjoying travelling three or four times a year with my husband. I'm also developing a good freelance writing career and am very involved in my local writing group and church. One of my interests is market research and I enjoy giving talks to other writing groups about this, helping others to get published. Next, I'm hoping to do training for adult literacy work, this time to help others read and write.

Future Aspirations

As well as freelance writing, I have completed a children's novel, adult Regency novel (as yet unpublished) and am now writing a contemporary novel. Another children's novel and adult historical (16th century) are on the back burner. A children's picture book (text only) is being held with a UK publisher under consideration.

Hopefully, the next step is becoming a published novelist, either for adults or children (or both) while continuing to write articles and short stories.
